After admission, you must claim your network ID so you can register for classes. Consult with your academic advisor to determine a plan of courses to take. Email gradregistration@siu.edu for assistance with registration, withdrawal, 601 continuing enrollment, Illinois residency, and course loads.

Many of our graduate programs require students to complete either a thesis, dissertation, research paper, or capstone report, and submit those final papers to the Graduate School. View the guidelines and processes for each of these.

Ready to celebrate your achievements? Even if you’re not attending the ceremony, graduating students need to apply for graduation by the end of the fourth week for Fall / Spring semesters and the second week for the Summer term.
