Main Content

IN RESPONSE TO THE CORONAVIRUS    (COVID-19) OUTBREAK, THE GRADUATE SCHOOL HAS MADE THE FOLLOWING CHANGES:

1. ENGLISH PROFICIENCY TESTING FOR INTERNATIONAL GRADUATE APPLICANTS:

For international students affected by testing center closures, SIUC has approved the use of the Duolingo English Test for demonstrating English proficiency. A minimum score of 115 on a Duolingo English Test will fulfill English proficiency requirements for most graduate programs at SIUC.

If you plan to take the Duolingo English test, click the following links for more information:

2. ADMISSION DECISIONS:

Admission decisions will be based on ONLY unofficial transcripts from all countries.  Official transcripts will still need to be received by the Graduate School prior to second semester registration.

3. I-20:

The Department of Homeland Security has approved sending scanned I-20’s. Please contact our Admissions Representative at jklucker@siu.edu if you have questions.
