Our faculty members are accomplished, world-class scholars, who generate grant funding from prestigious sources such as the National Science Foundation and National Institutes of Health. They create hundreds of scholarly articles and books each year, create world-class art, serve the region and the nation with their expertise, and excel in the classroom, studio, and laboratory.
SIU’s campus is diverse and vibrant, with over 4,000 graduate students enrolled, and over 1000 of them are international. We are extremely proud of the graduate students at SIU Carbondale who compete with the best around the world, winning fellowships and grants from agencies such as the Fulbright Foundation, National Science Foundation, and Environmental Protection Agency.
